Incorportated in 1981, Warehouse Sound Systems has operated at the leading edge of audio, video and computer technologies, providing integrated solutions for business and entertainment enterprises.

Historical landmarks over 25 years

1983 “Lasers Nightclub” at the Waltzing Matilda Hotel, Springvale

Design, supply and install 12,000 watt JBL loudspeaker system, subwoofers, overhead video projector, laserdisc player and integrated audio/video control booth. The largest disco audio, video and lighting system in Melbourne at that time included the first large format overhead video projection system and laserdisc players in a nightclub. The venue catered for up to 2000 patrons and posted the highest liquor sales in Victoria for five years.

1986 National Museum of Australia Visitor Centre, Canberra

Supply & install audio/video presentation system comprising multiple audio zones with video monitors and overhead projector.

1987 Metro Nightclub, Melbourne

Design, supply and install 15,000 watts JBL and Electrovoice sound system for main dance floor, with integrated video system including 5x4 videowall, dance floor cameras and multi-input video preview /selection system.

The audio system has performed reliably 3-5 days a week to this day, with only minor equipment additions in 1999.

1987-88 Grand Hyatt Hotel, Melbourne

Design, supply and install Monsoons Nightclub audio system. Supply audio and video equipment for health club, ballroom, main foyer and bars.

1988-90 Warehouse Sound Systems

Design and commission networked, multi-user sales/accounting software system, including on-line reporting of cash flows, stock and profit & loss

1990-91 Paines Mitre 10 Group

Design, write and commission networked, multi-user stock control software system comprising over 13,000 stock items located in several stores.

1991-92 Disability Attendance Support Service Inc

Design and commission networked, multi-user labour hire, payroll and accounting software system featuring direct cost accounting to multiple funding bodies.

1993 Council Chambers, Shire of Eltham

Supply and install automatic microphone mixing & audio system

1994 Thredbo Ski School

Design and commission networked, multi-user, real-time Point-of-Sale booking system across multiple sites.

180 ski instructors were able to be booked for 9 class or privvate lessons per day. Bookings and ticket sales accepted in real time simultaneously from ten terminals across the resort, connected to a central server by 64k ISDN. The system was used successfully for four years until a Windows based system superseded it.

1995 Convention facilities, Grand Hyatt Hotel, Melbourne

Supply, install, design, and commission computer controlled multi-zone audio system that enables recall of room-combining setups from a stored database.

The hardware and software was designed and built entirely in-house, and is still in operation today.

1996 Warehouse Sound Systems Rental Division

Supply, install, design, write and commission computer networked POS rental booking system, allowing confirmed bookings for hundreds of inventory components for unlimited dates in advance.

1997 St Bede’s Parish Church, Balwyn North

Supply and install audio system comprising digital mixer with scene memory for reliable recall of multiple microphone setups.

1999 Club Odeon, Crown Casino Melbourne

Supply and install audio and lighting system suitable for both dance music and live band performances.

1999 Convention & Ballroom facilities, Park Hyatt Hotel, Melbourne

Supply, install, design, write and commission computer controlled multi-zone audio system that enables recall of room-combining setups from a stored database.

1999 Seven Nightclub, Melbourne

Supply, install, design and install audio and rear projection video system.

The video system provides a 2m wide image that is as bright as a plasma screen.

The audio system features extended bass response down to 25Hz at 120db plus. The volume is governed by computer a controlled digital processor which ensures consistent balance between bass, mid and high frequencies from any source. This feature allows the venue operator to strictly control the level of sound emissions from the premises, whilst simultaneously providing a consistent sensory experience to patrons on the dance floor.

Upgrade accounting database system to include Y2K and GST components. Design and build reporting features compatible with BAS requirements.

2000 Evolution Nightclub, Melbourne

Upgrade audio and lighting system to cater for both live band performances and modern dance music.

System upgrade includes JBL subwoofers and computer controlled digital processor which ensures consistent balance between bass, mid and high frequencies from any source. This feature allows the venue operator to strictly control the level of sound emissions from the premises, whilst simultaneously providing a consistent auditory experience for the audience.
